Mille Trattoria
Identity to code, single-handed: a bilingual (TR/EN), reservation-enabled site for a trattoria named after the Roman milestone. The menu becomes a map that carries each plate back to its city as you scroll.

Project
Why
Mille is a trattoria that puts the wood fire of Naples and the Anatolian kitchen on one table. It takes its name from the milestone set every thousand paces on Roman roads, and from the Milion, Istanbul’s zero point. I built it end to end: logo, design system and the live site.
Approach
Design language
The logo comes down to two strokes: a road and a column standing on it. The whole system grows from them: objects stand on a gold road line, the only rounded shape is the milestone capsule, and illustrations are drawn in one unbroken line. Three “rooms” in marble, basalt and cypress green; Forum and Alegreya type.
How it works
Structure
Mappa: the menu is a scrolling map. Each plate travels to its city and shows its distance from the Milion in kilometres and Roman miles, before they all return to the same table. Story: the Milion’s timeline from 20 BC to today, alongside an unscaled survey drawing. Reservation: four steps (day, time, guests, contact); full days and times are struck out, you pick the hall, the garden or the bar counter, and the confirmation arrives by e-mail with a booking code.

Signature details
Motion
Motion is defined in five words: Partenza (the road and emblem draw on arrival), Via (a road that follows the reader down the page), Passo, Disegno and Sosta. Nothing bounces; with reduced motion everything arrives drawn and still.
Result
Status
The site is live in Turkish and English. Menu, journal, gallery and reservations are run from a single panel.
The next branch is your project
Tell me in a few sentences what you want to build. I usually reply the same day, the next day at the latest.
Right now I am open to new work: freelance projects, remote or on site in Istanbul. A web platform, a model to train or a stubborn device; whichever it is, write or call.
