OnurDemir

I am a full-stack developer in Istanbul. I pick the right tool for each job and deliver it end to end.

Selected work

Every project on its own drawing sheet. The drawing shows what the work looks like; the title block, what it was built with.

Upload your pages; it finds the bubbles, translates the text into your language, erases the original lettering and typesets the translation back in. My own venture.

From 2021 to today

My history lives in one repository. Scroll down and you read it commit by commit; the last line is not written yet.

    Start

    Foundations / with my brother

    • I started with HTML and CSS, then learned to build pages with Bootstrap and Tailwind, bring them to life with JavaScript and Vue.js, and write what sits behind them with PHP and Laravel.
    • My first teacher was my brother Yusuf Demir: no memorising, everything from the ground up.
    • PHP
    • Laravel
    • Vue.js
    • JavaScript
  2. 20224e07408
    Education

Information Technology / Nahit Menteşe Vocational High School

    • I started the IT department of a vocational high school. Most lessons repeated what I had already taught myself a year earlier.
    • I worked the whole time I studied: freelance jobs first, then KodeTrust. School gave me the diploma, work gave me the craft.
    • I graduated successfully and earned my Business Opening and Master Instructor certificates.
  3. 2023 – 2024ef2d127
    Freelance

    First outside work / freelance

While still in school I took my first outside jobs. For the first time I wrote what I had learned for a real client.

    • Laravel
    • Bootstrap
  4. 2024 – 20259f86d08
    Internship

    Full-stack intern / KodeTrust

    • I did the school's mandatory 7-month internship at KodeTrust: PHP, Laravel and Vue.js on live projects inside a team.
    • I kept taking outside work during that time.
    • PHP
    • Laravel
    • Vue.js
  5. 2025 – 20262c624e9
    Work

    Full-stack developer / KodeTrust

    • After the internship I work at KodeTrust as a full-stack developer.
    • On the side I am building SpandTranslate.
    • Laravel
    • Vue.js

    Education & work

Computer Programming / Istanbul Aydın University

    • I started the two-year Computer Programming associate degree at Istanbul Aydın University.
    • While studying, I keep working at KodeTrust as a full-stack developer.

What I do

Not every job is a website. Some are a publishing platform, some a model we trained ourselves, and one was a camera whose cloud had shut down.

Web platforms

Less one-page sites, more systems people run a business on: a publishing core that spins up several sites from one codebase, a review system that runs from a card on the table to the owner’s panel. The back end is mostly Laravel; the front end is Vue + Inertia or Next.js, depending on the job.

With
Laravel, Vue.js + Inertia, Next.js, Tailwind CSS, MySQL, Redis

AI products

I built a pipeline that translates a manga chapter in one click: our own model finds the bubbles, a language model translates with the chapter’s context, GPU workers erase the original lettering and repair the art. Workers scale up as jobs arrive and back down when the load drops.

With
Python, language models, GPU workers, Laravel queues

Datasets and model training

When off-the-shelf models fell short, we trained our own: about 75 thousand pages collected, labelling rules written down, each generation trained from scratch on data labelled by the one before and measured on our own test set. The rule is simple: no training until the dataset is clean.

With
Python, pre-labelling, AI + human review, cloud GPUs
Examples
SpandZero

Reverse engineering

I bring back devices that became junk when their maker walked away. On a camera whose cloud had shut down, I decoded a factory-test service byte by byte, got root over the network and freed it from the cloud with an open-source RTSP stream.

With
Python, Linux, flash dumps, squashfs, RTSP

Automation and AI agents

I hand repetitive work to agents: publishing posts across several sites, sharing on social media, replying to business reviews by a set of rules. I write the rules and decide where a human has to approve.

With
Claude, browser automation, Python
Examples
I will add an example here soon.

About

The most honest way to describe myself is a change history. The crossed-out lines were true once; the ones beneath them are true today.

  1. Hi, I am Onur. I live in Istanbul.

  2. I started writing code in 2021 next to my brother Yusuf Demir: no memorising, everything from the ground up.

  3. I build pages with HTML and CSS.

  4. I write the back end with PHP and Laravel and the front end with Vue.js or Next.js; I pick the tool by the job.

  5. I use what I learn in my own experiments.

  6. I worked the whole time I studied; since 2023 I have been writing what I learn for real clients. School gave me the diploma, work gave me the craft.

  7. I am an intern at KodeTrust.

  8. I work at KodeTrust as a full-stack developer, and I study Computer Programming at Istanbul Aydın University on the side.

  9. I am building my own venture, SpandTranslate; it is also how I stepped outside the web and learned to collect data and train models.

The next branch is your project

Tell me in a few sentences what you want to build. I usually reply the same day, the next day at the latest.

Right now I am open to new work: freelance projects, remote or on site in Istanbul. A web platform, a model to train or a stubborn device; whichever it is, write or call.
